Psychotherapy, Counselling and Psychosexual therapy for Individuals and Couples in Balham, Wandsworth, SW12.
COVID 19 UPDATE 2/9/20 - As a matter of course I do currently recommend that therapy is held on an online basis to minimise the Covid risk to everyone. However I am now seeing a few clients in person. There is always a minimum of 30 minutes between clients. Clients are required to use the supplied sanitiser on entry. I do not currently provide toilet facilities. I do not provide water though you are welcome to bring your own. Chairs are spaced to exceed government minimum distances. Whilst face coverings are not mandatory I would be happy to wear one if requested. Whilst we are opening up and getting back to normal it must be remembered that Covid 19 is still with us and things may change again, thus it may be necessary to go back to an online only basis at a later date.
Welcome to my home on the internet where you can find details of myself, my practice and where and how you can access them. Currently, due to Covid 19, I am only working online and not seeing clients from my usual base in Balham, Wandsworth, SW12. New clients who would prefer to undertake counselling and psychotherapy in person would be welcome to come to my usual premises in Balham, Wandsworth as and when the situation changes. If you live further afield I would be happy to work with you on an online basis until our work is completed.
Having spent a number of years working in the film industry, I made a decision to retrain as a therapist after undertaking a life changing period of personal therapy. This allowed me to explore some family of origin issues, the impact of boarding school and some addictive processes. This therapeutic process allowed me to find my voice and confidence in order to change careers and retrain as a counsellor and psychotherapist working with individuals and couples.
I originally trained as an Integrative counsellor at Roehampton University, from where I graduated in 2011. I have gained a wide range of experience working successfully with a variety of issues in the charitable sector, the NHS and in my private practice. I then went on to do a post-graduate training in psychosexual and couple therapy. During and after my training I have bolstered my experience by working as an addiction counsellor at a charitable Hackney based addiction organisation, I have also worked as a psychosexual therapist within an NHS cancer unit ( individuals and couples) and I spent over 5 years working with a wide variety of presenting issues at the national charity MIND. Since 2012, I have ran my private practice which is currently based in Balham, SW12.
More information about my fees are in my FAQ’s. I have some low cost spots and can be flexible, dependent on your income. Please do not hesitate to ask. You are welcome to self-refer and I also take referrals from GP's and addiction centres.
